I've had several and looked like a dumb ass each time.
Hey, your mum sounds great. Well done for nailing it. And I agree totally, it doesn't take long to learn if you are keen. Went to work in a bakery and got freaked out that I had to give someone change without the use of the till one time as it broke down, I must have looked so dum, I just had no clue!!
Consequently I went home and asked my mum to teach me so I didnt look like such a dum arse!! Next day, perfect!! Math does not take very long to learn, especially if the child really really wants to learn it lol Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09918845810027494012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7063706543194952613.post-28492411767216957772014-04-25T21:10:13.699-07:002014-04-25T21:10:13.699-07:00Yip we have skills no doubt. But what you mention...Yip we have skills no doubt. But what you mention above should be learned in about 150 hours of math instruction. And much of the above you would have learned if you had never attended math class. For example, not many people attribute the skill of counting money to school.Desperadohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01358834012556574130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7063706543194952613.post-2309993582124412582014-04-25T20:31:53.615-07:002014-04-25T20:31:53.615-07:00Just to play Devils advocate... I spent many hour...Just to play Devils advocate... I spent many hours in maths education , a very un engaged and uninterested student if ever there was one. I have however as an adult got an ability to balance my accounts, manage by budgets at work, I can count, multiple, divide and do all necessary functions. Doesn't this say that the learning did its key role and prepared me for life tasks? What did I miss?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00495415109093283171noreply@blogger.com
